IAMAW 1550 News  MARTENS MAINTENANCE RATIFYS FIRST CONTRACT9/15/2004Fifty employees of Martens Maintenance ratified their first collective agreement. They were accepted unanimously into our local by our members last year after a certification vote. For the last 6 months they have been negoitating with management. Negotiations were handled by GLR Pat Murpy. This first agreement includes 4 weeks vacation after 10 years, seniority recognition, job postings and an increase of up to $1.00 an hour for some workers.
